Biography -- Adam B. Portnow
Founded in 2009, The Law Office of Adam B. Portnow, P.L. serves clients based in Florida, the U.S., and throughout the world. Adam B. Portnow is a graduate of the University of Florida (B.S., Digital Arts and Sciences, College of Computer Science and Engineering) and obtained his juris doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, FL. Adam was born in New York and was raised in New York, Massachusetts, and Florida, graduating from Riverview High School in Sarasota.
He is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association and currently serves on the SCBA’s Docket Committee.

Mr. Portnowis a member of the Florida Bar and is a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney. He is also a member of the bar of the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida
Education Details
Before law school, Mr. Portnow received his Bachelor of Science degree in digital arts and sciences from the University of Florida College of Computer Information Sciences and Engineering. For his work in digital arts and computing, Mr. Portnow received the University of Florida President’s Award for outstanding achievement.
He was a regular contributor to the ++silica entity, a group of artists, musicians, and engineers collaborating on improvised digital media performances.
Mr. Portnow received his Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida. While in law school, Mr. Portnow served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Mily Rodriguez-Powell of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court Criminal Division. Mr. Portnow also served as executive editor of the St. Thomas Law Review, editor-in-chief of the student newspaper Plead the Fifth.
Originally from the State of New York, Adam is a die-hard New York Yankees and Giants fan.
